“But the angel said to the women, Do not be alarmed and frightened, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, Who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, as He said [He would do]. Come, see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples, He has risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you to Galilee; thee you will see Him. Behold I have told you.” (Matthew 28:5-6)
The Easter holiday is so much more than chocolate and Easter bunnies. For Christians, Easter is the culmination of our salvation. We serve a RISEN Lord. All other “prophets” or men are still in their graves. Jesus Christ is the ONLY one Who rose from the dead. The Cross had to happen so the resurrection could happen. A seed can’t produce until it’s placed in the ground.
The true plan of God the Father throughout Eternity was complete and total victory over Satan for His children. Satan knew that the Anointed One would come, but He did not realize that He would rise from the dead. Jesus was sinless in word, thought and deed. The wages of SIN is death. Jesus as not subject to it. THAT is why He was risen, why death could not hold Him. Imagine Satan’s horror when the realization of what Jesus’ resurrection REALLY meant to him. The Bible says that Jesus made a complete show of him openly for all the spirit realm to see. His defeat was complete.
THIS is really good news! This is the reason that we, as Christians can boldly go to the throne of God the Father BOLDLY and ask for help. This is the reason we have authority to say “In the Name of Jesus, Satan get your hands off me!” Lord help us all to fully realize the great depth of Jesus’ victory over the grave! Help us to walk in what He has purchased for us!
