The Beauty of Repentance

“And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them. And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2-4)

The most powerful faith in the world is the faith of a child. They are completely innocent; they don’t have the wounds most adults have to overcome, so they have the ability to operate in pure faith. But we CAN do it too…Jesus said here that we must do it.  How?  Through REPENTANCE…

Repentance doesn’t mean crawling on your belly in shame. Far from it! Repentance is actually your key to freedom from bondage! Through repentance you too can get to child-like faith. Repentance is acknowledging you are on the wrong track. It is way more than saying you are sorry. It is turning around and going in the right direction..towards God.

When we repent and turn back to God, or if we are walking with God and we sin and we repent; it completely takes the wind out of Satan’s sails against us. Remember, he is the accuser of the brethren. He is always up there accusing us before God; demanding to sift us like wheat. Repentance through the Blood of Jesus, makes his arguments null and void. Yes, repentance is the key to freedom from guilt and condemnation and shame.

It doesn’t matter where you are at..how far you are away from God. He literally is only a prayer of repentance away to completely restore you. If you are in this position, pray this prayer right now and let the Blood of Jesus wash it all away. Then you can truly begin to walk in the right direction….back to God.

“Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your plan for me. I ask You to forgive me and cleanse me with the Blood of Jesus. I repent now and choose to follow You and Your plan for my life. I ask to be healed from the inside out now in Jesus’ Name.”

Now you are ready to be like a little child; trusting, loving and forgiving. Every time you mess up–and we all do–be quick to repent! Get liberated and get the devil off your back. You can do mighty things for God!

Blessings everyone…
