Love Brings Unity

“Be gentle and forbearing with one another and if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also forgive. And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].” (Colossians 3:13-14)

Why is so much emphasis put on us as Christians to get along? Over and over we are told in the Word to love one another, to forgive one another, to bear one another’s burdens. One word: UNITY. The Body of Christ must be unified, to stand against the onslaughts of the enemy in these last days. How can this happen when we look around and see how fractured and divided so many churches are? It can happen if each of us as individuals take the  Word of God seriously and begin to walk in love towards everyone. It is something that has to be cultivated. It takes discipline to achieve, because it goes against our grain to get along with others. We naturally want to return wrong for wrong. IF the Body of Christ would begin to move in the true love of God, we would be unstoppable. It starts with each individual…start today.

Blessings everyone…
