“And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment; for she kept saying to herself, if I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health. Jesus turned around and seeing her, He said, Take courage daughter! Your FAITH has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health.” (Matthew 9:20-22)
This woman is so inspiring to me. She was tired of her miserable situation. She heard about Him, but more than that: SHE BELIEVED that He was the answer to her problem. She spoke the desired end result “if I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health” She kept saying that until it got into her heart…that is where real, powerful faith resides. She was able to act on that faith by finding Jesus, pushing through that crowd and touched His garment, which was her point of faith…and He knew it. Jesus always recognizes immediately when REAL faith is operating in Him. What did He say to her? “Take courage daughter! Your faith has made you well.” Faith in Jesus, always brings the desired end result. He does not ignore real faith. The key question to ask is: Is my faith in my heart or my head? Take a lesson from this woman today. Like the song says:
Reach out and touch the Lord as He passes by
You’ll find He’s not too busy to hear your heart’s cry
He’s passing by this moment your needs to supply
Reach out and touch the Lord as He goes by
Blessings everyone…
