Totally Victorious

“So they went off and made the tomb secure by sealing the boulder, a guard of soldiers being with them and remaining to watch. Now after the Sabbath, near dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled the boulder back and sat upon it. His appearance was like lightning, and his garments as white as snow. And those keeping guard were so frightened at the sight of him that they were agitated and they trembled and became like dead men.” (Matthew 27:66 & 28:1-4)

The religious Jews knew the Word of God. They knew who Jesus was yet they chose to reject Him. Even after He was dead they still went to Pilot to get the tomb sealed and armed guards stationed around it! The wanted to make sure He stayed in that grave. But death couldn’t hold Him in and neither could the religious Jews. The guards even passed out from fear!

He literally overcame the world by rising from the dead. In doing this, He has given us as His people complete victory in life. Just as God’s purpose could not be stopped by death or men, so too is our purpose in Him. If we hold on to Him, who is the author and finisher of our faith, there is no power in the spirit or in the earth that can stop us.

Whatever your situation, whether you are on a mountain top of victory or in a valley of the shadow of death, you have the victory. Beloved, hold fast to your confession of faith and keep walking because you will get to YOUR mountain of victory too…just keep walking…

Blessings everyone…
