Great Expectations

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)

What does it mean to “wait” on the Lord? Its not sitting around twiddling your thumbs…no, its expecting Him any moment to bring your answer. What do you do when you are expecting something really good to happen? You start getting ready for it!

When you meet a new love and he or she is coming over, you get the house all ready, you put on your best outfit and put on your best smile! You are ready for them. When you are getting are lump sum of money…you start making your lists of what to buy! The ciphering begins! This is EXPECTING!

The only difference between expecting something in actuality and in expecting something from God is that you have gotten the phone call. Faith bridges the gap when there isn’t a phone call from God that your body is healed, your children are restored and set free, your spouse is restored and set free or the bill got miraculously paid.

When you wait for the Lord, really wait for Him, you WILL renew your strength, you WILL run and not be weary and you WILL walk and not faint! Waiting is expecting Him to act at any moment. Go ahead…lift your wings and mount up close to Him starting today…it’s a day of great expectations!

Blessings everyone…
