The Decision

“Then when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have enough food, and [even food] to spare, but I am perishing here of hunger! I will get up and go to my father and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; [just] make me like one of your hired servants. So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness for him; and he ran and embraced him and kissed him fervently.” (Luke 17-20)

Sometimes life draws us away from our heavenly Father into a life of sin, but His heart still loves and longs for His lost children. And like the father in this story that Jesus told, He doesn’t need you to walk right up to Him. He’ll run to meet you from a long way off and exuberantly welcome you back into His arms!

Sometimes we have to “come to the end of ourselves” and realize that in our Father’s house, there is everything we need in life. If you are away from Him or never met Him before, all it takes is a decision. The prodigal son said “I will get up and go to my father” and that’s the decision. Make the decision and start walking towards Him. You won’t get far before you find yourself back in fellowship with Him..like you’ve never been away. Pray this prayer to return to your Father’s house today:

“Father I come to You in Jesus’ Name. I have sinned against You and I repent and choose to return to You now. I ask for forgiveness of my sins. I ask to be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. Thank You Father for forgiving me and cleansing me. Thank You for receiving me back into Your house. I will follow You all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen!”
Welcome back beloved…

Blessings everyone…
