“Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:4-5)
Thank goodness He doesn’t hold grudges! Yes, we are capable of angering Him, I know I have in the past. But once I repented and asked for forgiveness, the blessings began to come in again. Sometimes though, we are just going along and a life storm blows up around us. We don’t know where it came from or why. Our life is suddenly full of questions we don’t have an answer for.
We wonder what we did to make God mad, or what open doors we may have that as allowed the enemy to attack us. What do you do when the answers aren’t coming to you? You go to His Word and ask Him for a “rhema” word. This is a word that comes from Him for this moment in your life. It “pops” out at you when you read it. Then hold on to that word and don’t let go. No matter how bad it looks, hold on to that word.
The good thing about a storm is that they DON’T LAST FOREVER! Weeping may endure for the night, but JOY comes in the morning. Like the Apostle Paul and Silas in the dungeon…they praised God in the middle of the valley of the shadow of death…and God supernaturally delivered them! If you belong to Him, He WILL NOT forsake you!
Remember this: He promises that the waters will not overflow you as you go through the storm. He’s done it for countless others in the past and He’ll do it AGAIN for YOU.
Blessings everyone…
