The Key of Child-Like Faith

“And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them, and said, Truly I say unto you, unless you repent (change, turnabout) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2-4)

What does child-like faith mean? Let’s look at the characteristics of a child. They come into the world completely innocent, completely pure and completely trusting. It just doesn’t occur to them that their parent or God would ever lie to them. If they jump, they are confident that they will be caught in loving arms. A child is completely convinced that everything his or her parent says is the truth. THAT is where we need to be with God…completely trusting and confident that everything He says in His Word is true and can be counted upon.

The key to achieving child-like faith for us is to pursue Jesus passionately in our own personal lives. That relationship WILL spill out into the rest our world. Because then you will really KNOW Him and you will also be fully persuaded that He WILL do what He has promised in His Word.  Start pursuing Him today…a whole new world is waiting for you.

Blessings everyone…
