“Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord. I will exult in the God of my salvation!” (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Whatever our circumstances, whether the sun is shining on us or we are standing in the rain; we can rejoice in it all because of our God. When our confidence is truly resting in the Lord, we can be content in whatever circumstances we are in. Like the Apostle Paul said “for I have learned how to be content in whatever state I am in.”
When our relationship with Him becomes more intimate, we can be confident that no matter what our circumstances are at the moment, we are content and at peace. When the enemy comes in like a flood, you can know that your God will raise a standard against him. And when the windows of heaven are opened to you, it will strengthen your faith deeper when the enemy comes back..because he will come back.
Lord help us today rejoice in the middle of it all falling apart! We will rejoice in the God of our salvation!
