“And I (Jesus), if and when I AM lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw and attract all men [Gentiles as well as Jews] to Myself.” (John 12:32)
From the very beginning of Christianity, there has always been a concentrated effort to eradicate it. To stop it cold. From the Roman Empire times until Islam today, efforts to stamp out Christianity have all met with failure.
Why have all these efforts resulted in failure? Because Jesus was lifted up on that Cross over 2000 years ago. He was dead for three days and He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. It was the resurrection that broke the devil’s stranglehold on mankind.
The Light of God had burst through the darkness and men were once again welcomed into the very Presence of God through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
What happens when you are in the dark? You begin searching for a light switch so you can see where you are going! The darkness is kind of scary too. It’s not comfortable. But when the light is turned on security comes, peace comes, knowledge of where you are and where you are going comes.
Light attracts and darkness engulfs. Light is beautiful and darkness is ugly. Light brings warmth and darkness is cold. Light brings hope and darkness brings despair.
Jesus said “I AM the Light of the World, no one can come to the Father except through Me.” The good news is: the light has come! Beloved, start walking towards the light, where there is hope and victory for you!
