“Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition).” (II Thessalonians 2:3)
We are seeing the apostasy in America right now. Entire denominations are embracing the world’s standards and rejecting Jesus Christ’s teachings. They have allowed doctrines of devils to come in and pollute the pure Word of God.
They are tolerating evil lifestyles and in some cases even joining in. As violent and war-torn the world is right now, the most dangerous thing we, as true believers are facing is spiritual apostasy. We must guard the pure Word of God in our hearts.
We must be careful who we listen to and we must make the decision not to follow after men. People can start out strong and walk in the power of God for years, and then get complacent and let the enemy in with error or compromise. Just a little leaven impacts the whole loaf.
In the kingdom of God, it’s not what you did twenty years ago that matters today. What are you doing today? Starting strong and running strong for the Lord all your life and then at the end fall away. What a tragedy!
That is what happened to King Solomon. He started out strong and then in his later years he let doctrines of devils into his life and he ended up being an idolater who sacrificed his children to Baal. He fell away.
Jesus called salvation the “pearl of great price” and it is precious. It must be guarded and held onto for dear life. The Bible says we have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Why? Because in these evil times, we can get deceived and fall away.
Father, I pray that all Your children would ponder where they are at with You today and return if they are moving in the wrong direction. Send the fire of revival to Your Church today in the Name of Jesus!
Blessings everyone…
Amen! We must avoid the error that presumes to be truth presented by liars who pretend to be honest men of God. God bless you:)
