“I will lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 121)
At the first sign of trouble, God should be our first resort, not our last resort. He should be our fortress and high tower where we run into when the days become evil around us. His immovable character should be our pillar of strength. Our confidence in His ability and willingness to help us should be unshakable.
It all comes down to one question: do I believe His Word? If you can believe, all things are possible. How many of us know that the word “if” is a huge word sometimes! Can I believe Him to pay my rent without a job? Can I believe Him to put groceries in my pantry this week? Can I believe Him to heal this cancer?
God knows His abilities and He knows what He wants to do in each of our lives. He is there in the hills when you look up. He doesn’t need to sleep, He’s wide awake anytime You need to talk. He is fully committed to keeping your life until the time He calls you home. If you can believe Him, He can give you victory.
