Confidence in God

“For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.” (Isaiah 50:7)

This verse is a prophetic word in Isaiah of Jesus on the way to the Cross to die for us. It shows us the absolute confidence Jesus had in His Father to get Him through the agony of the Cross. It shows the determination of Jesus when He says “therefore have I set My face like a flint.” Jesus had a made up mind. He made it up in the Garden of Gethsemane. He looked beyond the Cross where sin, shame and pain were left behind. He shows the confidence He had is His Father when He said “I know that I shall not be put to shame.”

This confidence enabled the Son of Man, Jesus to go to that Cross with the determination and the confidence that victory over all the power of Satan was His! He did it and praise God that He did! He came glorified on the other side of it!

The Bible says that “all scripture is given for inspiration.” We can take this very scripture Jesus used in the Garden and apply it to OUR lives today. Make up your mind, in your garden of Gethsemane, like Jesus did, that you will come out victorious on the other side of your cross, of your pain, or of your problem.

Blessings everyone…
