Wise or Foolish?

“The kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish (thoughtless, without forethought) and five were wise (sensible, intelligent, and prudent). For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any extra oil with them; but the wise took flasks of oil along with them also with their lamps.

While the bridegroom lingered and was slow in coming, they all began nodding their heads, and they fell asleep. But at midnight, there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him! Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps in order. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy for yourselves.

But while they were going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him into the marriage feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came and said, Lord, Lord, open the door to us! But He replied I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you (I am not acquainted with you]. Watch, therefore [give strict attention and be cautious and active], for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come.” (Matthew 25:1-13)

The question isn’t whether or not “the Church” is ready to meet the Lord. The question is: are YOU ready? So many churches today are abandoning the fundamentals of Christianity in favor of “seeker friendly” services. They try to see how close to the world they can get and still be called “Christian.”

I hate to bust the bubble here, but Jesus Christ is coming back for a smokin hot, passionate Bride! A Bride that has eyes ONLY for Him. A Bride that is consumed with love and passion and adoration for Him and Him alone!  A Bride who abhors the things of the world and has turned her back on it!

The midnight hour is approaching. Yes the Bridegroom is long in coming, but make no mistake–HE IS COMING! The lines are drawn in these last days. The people who love God, I mean really love Him are getting hotter for Him. Those who don’t will grow colder until they fade into the darkness with the rest of the world.

The foolish virgins wanted to ride in on the oil of the wise virgins, but they couldn’t. Everyone has to walk this thing out for themselves. There are no grandchildren in the kingdom of God. Only children. Everyone has to work out their own salvation before God. Everybody has a purpose and God has a plan for us all and it is solely up to each individual one of us to find that purpose and walk it out.

Beloved, take stock of your relationship with Him today. Are you ready? Is your oil lamp full or empty? Do you have enough oil for the long haul? Come to Him today, and get all the oil you need. He is here to abundantly fill your lamp and your flask again to overflowing!

Watch and pray. Keep your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of this world will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace! Yes, the days are evil, but the return of our Bridegroom is oh so very, very near! Maranatha Lord Jesus!

Meet Jesus Here…

Blessings everyone…
