“Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously, when you first knew the Lord, or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent.” (Revelation 2:5)
“So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return to God, that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
“Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way traveling with him, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison.” (Matthew 5:25)
Repentance is a powerful weapon against the accusations of Satan. Did you know that he goes to the Court of Heaven and accuses us day and night? The book of Revelation points that out in chapter 12 verse 10 says “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”
It completely nullifies his case against you. When a believer in Jesus Christ repents, the Blood of Jesus Christ is applied to that sin and is completely disappears. God doesn’t even recall it! When you mess up or let’s be frank here; when you sin, run to God quickly and repent. Don’t let it go because immediately you are being accused.
But isn’t everything under the Blood of Jesus? Why do I have to repent? Sin has to be acknowledged to God, then ask His forgiveness and plead the Blood of Jesus over it. It’s a spiritual bath. When we get born again, our spirit man is made alive again unto God, but we will have a hard time going through our whole lives without sinning in word, thought or deed!
Satan uses our sins against us. If they aren’ repented of, they still exist. Repentance dissolves them completely and they are GONE. So naturally Satan doesn’t want anyone to repent! So repent and get free!
I really love your blog.. Great colors & theme. Did you build this website yourself? Please reply back as I’m wanting to create my own personal website and would like to learn where you got this from or exactly what the theme is named. Kudos!
