Just One Second

“But Saul shamefully treated and laid waste the church continuously [with cruelty and violence]; and entering house after house, he dragged men and women and committed them to prison.” (Acts 8:3)

“Now as he (Saul) traveled on, he came near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him and he fell to the ground. Then he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me (harassing, troubling and molesting, Me?)

“And Saul said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I AM Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you to keep kicking against the goad [to offer vain and perilous resistance].

Trembling and astonished he asked, Lord, what do You desire me to do? The Lord said to him, But arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:3-6)

Saul (later known as the Apostle Paul), was someone who what all in or all out. I love that about him! He fully believed that what he was doing was actually doing God’s will. In his mind, these Jews were blaspheming Jehovah. He was determined to eradicate Christianity from the face of the earth.

He was actually on his way to Damascus to scour the city for Christians and arrest them when suddenly he encountered Jesus Himself! In just one second, one flash of time with Jesus Christ, his entire life turned 180 degrees around. He had an encounter of the God kind that forever changed not only his life, but the destiny of the entire Church of Jesus Christ.

That is all it takes to turn YOUR life completely around. A complete about-face will happen when you meet Jesus on your Damascus road. Just one second in the presence of Jesus Christ is all it takes to change the course of your destiny. When you are in the presence of Jesus, it is impossible to remain the same. His presence is that life-changing. He is that wonderful!

Just one second in the presence of Jesus can give you enough faith to last a lifetime because when you actually experience His presence, it is something that you will never forget. In these evil days, there are lots of “Sauls” out there trying to destroy the Church of Jesus Christ and we as His disciples must have personal knowledge of His presence to be able to stand in the evil day.

At any time, you can begin to seek Him out. He will be found of you because He loves you. After all He died for you! He paid for your salvation. Like the song says:

“In the presence of Jehovah, God Almighty, Prince of Peace
Troubles vanish, hearts are mended
In the presence, of the King”

Just one second can change your life…

Don’t know Him?

Meet Jesus Here…

Blessings everyone…
