An Even Keel

“Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything he asks for from the Lord.” (James 1:6-7)

Faith. There’s that word again. All transactions between us and God are done in faith. Asking God for something without faith is like going to the banker without a job and a bunch of bills. Unlike a banker, God is patiently waiting for us to come to Him in FAITH.

First you have to believe that God can and that He wants to answer your prayer NOW. You have to be prepared to NOT look at how high the waves are. To look past them to the miracle God has for you. Your faith should never be determined by external circumstances…or the waves. They can be a hundred feet high and Jesus promised that He would be with us and the waters won’t overflow us. Our faith and confessions should remain on an even keel.

God is only moved to ACTION by faith. He isn’t moved by many tears, and sobs. He has compassion for us, but faith is the only thing that will move that mountain! There is just no way around it. Breakthroughs come when we hold fast to our confession of faith in God.

The Bible says “if you faint in the day of adversity, your faith is small.” We are definitely in adverse days! Draw ever closer to the Lord and He will strengthen your faith and you will be able to receive victory in all your situations.  When you keep your eyes on Jesus, you will stay on that even keel and sail right through to victory.  He will honor your faithfulness and trust in Him!

Blessings everyone…

Don’t know Him?  You can today…
