The Way Maker

waymaker“Yes, from the time of the first existence of the day and from this day forth I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand. I will work, and who can hinder or reverse it?

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent one to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, with all their nobles, even the Chaldeans, into the ships over which they rejoiced. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through mighty waters, Who brings forth chariot and horse, army and mighty warrior. They lie down together, they cannot rise; they are extinguished, they are quenched like a lamp wick; Do not earnestly remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:13-19)

I have to admit that what I am seeing come across my computer screen about the things happening in the world and the desperate vulnerability of America, that I am very uneasy and disturbed. I’ve been thinking back through years past when America was the most free nation on earth. When there was real freedom to make our own choices even if they were wrong.

A time when we could say what we wanted without being torn to pieces by this hate-filled group or that hate-filled group. When the media was objective and just told us the raw truth…the real facts. No political agenda..just the news.

When our government had a backbone, even if we didn’t like them, they still would make decisions based on our security. When Islam was something on the other side of the world that nobody here understood or cared about.

A time when America was considered the best country in the world to raise a family. To pursue dreams. I guess I’m just sad at the loss of my nation to evil rulers. I was talking to the Lord about why we can’t have our country back the way it was.

I came here to Isaiah 43. As a nation, we have kicked God out of the government, the schools and even in society. There is even a separation between Christians. There are the religious Christians and then there are the sold out believers. The Blood of Jesus is being tossed out of churches, compromises on the Word of God are being set forth. Even some embracing other religions into one fold.

In spite of all the bad news, the Lord says, “don’t earnestly remember days of old, look ahead! I’m doing a new thing!” Sometimes you just can’t go back, but with God, He makes all things new. Even as the times get tougher, He has the plan to get through it!

Today, let’s praise God for what we have! We can still get up on Sunday morning and go to any church we want to. We can still turn on our stereo loud and sing praises to Jesus. We can still read our Bibles anywhere we want to. And we can still tell others about our wonderful Redeemer!

So people of God, realize that God is not up there wringing His hands about ISIS or the other terrorists or Ebola outbreaks.  His people can depend on His protection.  I said HIS people.  We are in the palm of His hand and though a thousand fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, it will NOT come near us!  Get closer to Him than you ever have and dwell in the secret place of the Most High.  He will get us through this until that great day when we hear that trumpet call!  It’s coming so very soon!  Maranatha! Lord Jesus!

Blessings everyone…
