The Dynamite of God

“Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray also for one another, that you may be healed and restored to a spiritual tone of mind and heart. The earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man/woman makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” (James 5:16)

The key word here is RIGHTEOUS. A person who is in right standing with God. What does this mean? “Confess to one another your faults.” The kingdom of God is all about light. Hiding your faults just empowers the enemy to use them against you. Confessing or speaking out your faults and sins gets them under the Blood of Jesus where they are completely eradicated.

When you repent of a sin, then you are righteous or in right standing with God and your prayers become God’s dynamite in spiritual warfare. If you are in a spiritual battle, take stock of your life often and when the Holy Spirit convicts you of something, run to Him and confess it and repent of it and He will wash it away with His Blood. Otherwise, the enemy can block and even delay your victory.

This scripture shows that you will be “healed and restored to a spiritual tone of mind and heart.” This means you are back on track and your prayers are once again powerful and effective! God can use you tremendously in prayer for His purposes when we are in right standing with Him. We become God’s dynamite!

Once your spiritual tone is set to righteous, you can then start praying effectively. The key words here are “earnest, heartfelt and continued prayer.” Righteousness brings passion and conviction to your prayers and faith brings perseverance. All of these pieces make tremendous power available from God. It all starts with confession and repentance.

If you have been praying for a situation for a long time, take stock of your spiritual tone. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas in your life that need cleansing by the Blood of Jesus. It’s like pouring drano in a clogged sink. Once the water can flow freely again you can get the job done!

Blessings everyone…
