The Invitation

“Thus says the Lord Who made the earth, the Lord Who formed it to establish it–the Lord is His Name: Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:2-3)

What an incredible invitation God has spoken in this one scripture, buried in the depths of the book of Jeremiah!  God has a lot to say to each one of us if we would only take the time to persistently call to Him.  You’ve heard the saying “persistence pays off.”  Well, it does!  This time of year is the perfect time to take stock of our lives and begin to seek God for next year.

We don’t have to wonder what path to take–ever–because the Lord Who made the earth, has it all figured out!  He wants to tell us, but He is waiting for you and I to CALL to Him!  He’s a gazillion miles away and all around us at the same time.  He’s only a whisper away.  Carve some time out of your day, 30 minutes or so and spend that time with Him about your future plans.  Believe me, He wants to share them with you!

The Lord Who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it tells us how awesome and big He is!  Earth is a tiny spec in the universe and at the same time it is a huge place for you and me.  Yet the Lord Who established it, is keenly and avidly interested in the most intimate details of our lives.  What an awesome God!

He is never too busy for you to call to Him.  His ear is always listening for your call.  His motives are always for your benefits.  His thoughts are loving towards you.  The invitation is always open for you and I to call and spend time with Him.  He loves us all that much!

Blessings everyone…
