The Pursuit of Dreams

“For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. This is He Who came by water and blood [His baptism and His death], Jesus Christ–not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And it is the Holy Spirit Who bears witness, because the Holy Spirit is the Truth. So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit, and these three are ONE.” (I John 5:3-7)

God is the God of WHATEVER! That means limitless possibilities for you and me. God has already made it possible for you and I to be victorious in this world…not in the sweet by and by, but right now. How did He do that? Through the work of the Cross that Jesus accomplished. He came, He died and He conquered the whole world system for us. All we have to do is appropriate what He has done. What does that mean?

Think about this: God gave the Promised Land to Abraham and his descendants forever. That’s why it’s called the promised land–because God promised it to him. When the people of Israel finally made it to the promised land, they had to take possession of it by force. Remember the whole earth belongs to the Lord and He can do whatever He wants with it. They took possession of that land and even today they have a small portion of it in their possession.

Each one of us has a promised land that we must take possession of at the appointed time. We take possession of it by faith. My promised land is living free to work in the harvest fields of the Lord. My promised land is being healthy and independent. My promised land is to live debt free. Everyone has dreams that are planted in our hearts by God. The pursuit of dreams is what makes life so fulfilling and exciting. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream. He even died for it.

WHATEVER your dream is, pursue it! Take possession of it by your faith in the ONE who won the victory so you CAN possess it!

Blessings everyone…
