“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child. I thought as a child but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we now we see through the glass darkly, but then face to face; now I know in part; but then I shall know even as I am known. And now abide faith, hope and love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.” (I Corinthians 13:9-13)
The Bible is probably the most hotly contested book ever written. Entire Christian denominations have been built around one or two verses. Cults have been built around it. Countless books have been written on a myriad of topics in the Bible.
One thing is certain–nobody has it all figured out! There are mysteries in God that we just won’t know until we get to heaven. All arguments will cease about what this verse meant or that verse meant. It will all be known. So why not get a jump on that and start focusing on FAITH, HOPE and LOVE? These three will remain. Perhaps if we all forget about doctrinal differences that will be answered in heaven, and let the pure love of God flow through us, we could see an outpouring of the Spirit the world has never seen. It’s something to think about…
Blessings everyone…
