“For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that is may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)
God’s words are life. They bring life and the ARE life. His Word never fails. It cannot because the entire universe is held together by His Word. If His Word failed the entire universe would cave in and implode.
God has chosen to use frail, faulty humans to speak His Word into this fallen world to make a difference. Looking around us today, it’s easy to see that we are not doing too good in that department. But at any moment we have the power to change it!
We can choose moment by moment to speak God’s life-filled words over ourselves and our loved ones. In any situation and under any circumstances, the life-filled Words of God can turn a situation around.
Suppose your child is headed down the wrong road with all the wrong people. Instead of saying anything negative about it, choose to take God’s Word and declare His will over your child. Every day thank Him that His Word is coming to pass in your child’s life. Sooner or later you will begin to see changes in the situation. I’ve experienced it time and time again. It works!
