Keep On Coming

“Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]. Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and He revokes His sentence of evil [when His conditions are met].” (Joel 2:12-13)

This is the time, the season, that God is cleaning up and cleaning out anyone who will allow Him to do so. He says “keep on coming to Me.” The more we pursue Him, the more He is going to clean out all the gunk and evil thoughts and ideas and attitudes that hinder us from fulfilling His plan for our lives.

This is a season for the hungry ones, those who want more than church on Sunday morning and then forget about God until the next Sunday. He says to keep on coming with ALL your heart, with fasting and weeping in conviction of the sin in your life. Remember, He is a HOLY God and sin cannot exist in His presence.

It doesn’t matter where you are at right at this moment. On skid row with a whiskey bottle in your hand or a needle sticking out of your arm. Even if you just left a prostitute or your lover’s house. His grace is extended to you at this moment, in this season of mercy. Don’t talk yourself out of returning to Him!

Sin is always fun for a while but eventually is turns bitter in your mouth. This word is for the children of God–those who have known Him–He says to return to Him now! The day of the Lord is coming and all those who are living in darkness will not be spared. What are you doing TODAY? Twenty years ago was great, but what are you doing today?

If you started your race and have gotten of the track, get back on! Repent and receive His forgiveness and finish your race strong. Today is what matters. Yesterday is gone forever. Judgment begins at the house of God so don’t think because you said a prayer twenty-five years ago but you are living in willful sin, that you will be spared. God didn’t spare Israel when they turned away.

Now is the time to return and get right with Him. Keep on coming until He cleans out every evil thing from your life! Your heart will lie to you. Be not deceived: God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows, that is what he will reap. The Blood of Jesus can cover it all–IF you turn and keep on coming towards Him.

Blessings everyone…
