He Makes All Things New

“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

“For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Little do we realize that everything that has come to pass in our lives, whether we willfully chose or the choice was taken from us, can and will be used by God to further His plans and His kingdom. That includes our mistakes and the evil done to us by others, no matter how heinous.

I was sitting here thinking about the complete mess I made of my life from a young girl. The bad decisions I made time and time again that were rebellious against God’s Word and His plans for me. I was wallowing in regret of the lost years and the lost time I could have been living for Him totally. Regretting the years I scattered instead of gathered with Him.

Then Romans 8:28 came to my mind. “All things work together for good to those who love the Lord.” All includes every mistake as well as every act of obedience. All includes every evil word or deed done to me or against me as well as all the love and kindnesses done for me.

Life isn’t fair sometimes and for some people is has been one long miserable experience. Every mistake is a lesson learned that can help someone else avoid the same trap. Every inner scar can be used by God to help someone recover from the same inner wounds.

Your battle scars don’t have to be the end for you. God makes ALL things NEW. He can turn a ruined life into a totally new and beautiful thing! Don’t wallow in regrets of past mistakes, rather give all of it to Him Who makes all things new…

Blessings everyone…
