Just One Drop

“Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” (Hebrews 9:22)

It takes blood to cover sins.  It is an eternal law set forth by God.  There is no getting around an eternal law–it is what it is.  When Adam and Eve fell in the garden, the Word says that God put animal skins on them to cover them.  Guess what?  The first shedding of blood was the animals slain to cover their bodies.

Down through the ages God’s people Israel, had to sacrifice the blood of animals to cover their sins once a year.  There was no intimacy with God then because the blood of bulls and goats could not rend the veil separating us from God’s presence.  This was a situation that God was not going to allow to continue.  He wanted intimate fellowship with His children.

At the appointed time, He sent Yeshua, the Word made flesh to come and be that sacrifice that once and for all would cover every sin ever committed from eternity to eternity.  Just one drop of the Blood of the Lamb completely eradicates sin and makes you and me as white as snow.  Squeaky clean.

When we come to Him and repent and ask Him to cleanse us with His Blood, just one drop is all it takes to dissolve the vilest of sin.  The feeling of being clean on the inside is something that I wouldn’t trade for all the money in the world.  The knowledge that I can boldly go into the Holy of Holies through the Blood of Jesus is truly that pearl of great price that Jesus talked about.  The opportunity to have an intimate relationship with my Creator is the greatest blessing of my life.

If you are at a point in your life where you just want to feel clean, turn to Jesus and say “Lord, I repent for my sins, please forgive me and cleanse me and come into my heart and save me to live for You.”  It is that simple.   He will come with just one drop of His precious Blood and wipe it all away and your new life will begin…

Blessings everyone…
