The Just Judge

“God stands in the assembly of representatives of God; in the midst of magistrates or judges He gives judgment as among the gods.  How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah.  Do justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless; maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy.  Deliver the poor and needy; rescue them out of the hand of the wicked.

The magistrates and judges know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in the darkness of complacent satisfaction; all the foundations of the earth [the fundamental principles upon which rests the administration of justice] are shaking.  I said, You are gods [since you judge on my behalf, as My representatives]; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High.  But you shall die as men and fall as one of the princes.  Arise, O God, judge of the earth!  For to You belong all the nations.” (Psalm 82)

It is a serious responsibility to be a congressman or senator.  God takes the role seriously as we see here in Psalm 82.  Every session of Congress or the Senate, His is there watching and listening.  Not just in America, but all over the world God is weighing all laws and decrees of man in the scales of justice.  These days, justice is a very hard thing to find.

What can us peons do in the face of the evil magistrates ruling the world today?  We have an advocate: the Most High God–Jesus Christ– is our advocate.  The Word says we are to pray for the leaders of our land–not so much for their benefit as ours.  Our leaders are walking in pitch black darkness like blind men groping in the dark.  Calling good evil and evil good.  Call on the Judge of the earth for Him to place godly men and women as His representatives.

Prayer is the most effective and powerful weapon a child of God has in the face of great evil.  Why do you think Islam is rampaging across the world like it is?  They pray five times every day to their god.  The spirit-world listens to prayers and words spoken by people.  If the people of God would pray as hard as Islamists, imagine what God would do with those prayers for justice?

The Bible says “the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”  Start praying now while we still have time!

Blessings everyone…
