The Priceless Privilege

“Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly].  For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ the Anointed One.

And that I may actually be found and known as in Him, not having any self-achieved righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law’s demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ the Anointed One, the truly right standing with God, which comes from God by saving faith.” (Philippians 3:8-9 AMP)

The Apostle Paul was so in love with Jesus Christ.  He met Him face to face on the Damascus road.  That encounter changed the course of his life forever.  Everything that he had and everything that he was up until that moment was counted as a loss, even rubbish as Paul says so that he could be “found and known” in Him.  Paul calls this relationship “the priceless privilege.”  What a beautiful way to put it!

Walking with Jesus is the priceless privilege, it is that pearl of great price.  It is overwhelmingly precious and it surpassing everything the world can offer.  There is no other lifestyle that compares with an intimate relationship with the Father, the Creator through His Son Jesus Christ.  I have tried it all and have come to the conclusion that there is nowhere, no substance, no other person, no amount of money or fame that compares to the peace in your soul and spirit.

I see all around the earth, people are hurting, scared and angry.  A lot of people are so full of hatred they are killing anyone that dares cross their path.  If only they could meet Him.  Even in the middle of their hell, He can bring them that precious peace that passes all understanding.  People of God, pray for the lost.  Pray that they meet Him…before it’s too late.

Blessings everyone…
