The Power Source

“And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.

“So the report of Him spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all who were sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, those under the power of demons, and epileptics, and paralyzed people, and He healed them.

“And great crowds joined and accompanied Him about, coming from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from the other side of the Jordan.” (Matthew 4:23-25)

The power of God is irresistible.  The power and love of God are limitless and the best part is that it is so accessible to us now that Jesus had paid the price for us to access it!  He is our example of spreading the Gospel message that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

He started out talking about the Kingdom and that led to healing and deliverance among the people.  And that led to His fame.  People are irresistibly drawn to the power of God.  They can’t help it.  The supernatural is fascinating!

Pretty soon He couldn’t go anywhere without people everywhere bringing their sick and oppressed loved ones to Jesus for healing.  He was like a rock star.  People began to follow Him everywhere wanting to see the power of God in action.  And He did not disappoint them.  Everywhere He went the power of God and the love of God was displayed beautifully for all to see.

How was He able to do this all the time for three and a half years?  That is exactly what He did every day.  He preached the Gospel, He healed and He delivered all who came to Him.  He said YES to healing  then and  He still says YES to healing today.  Jesus was plugged into the power source of the Holy Spirit.  That is how He did it.  Remember, Jesus came to earth as a human being.  He came to seek and save the lost but He also came to show His followers HOW to spread the Gospel message–through signs and wonders.  He did it and we can do it too.

We too have to be plugged in the power source of the Holy Spirit to do same miracles that Jesus did in His ministry.  He spent hours with His Father in prayer every morning.  The first thing He did was get up early and go to His place of prayer and get His tank full for the day.  We too must spend precious time with the Father every day to be able to fulfill the plan that He has for our lives.

You will find that as you spend time with the Father, that He will begin to use you to advance His kingdom.  He has a part for everyone to play in the kingdom.  You just have to take that first step of prayer.  Start today and you will be amazed at the things you will be doing in a short time…

Blessings everyone…
