The Days of Noah

days-of-noah

“As were the days of Noah, so will the coming of the Son of Man.  For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the very day when Noah went into the ark.  And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man.  At that time two men will be in the field, one will be taken and one will be left.  Two women will be grinding at the hand-mill, one will be taken and one will be left.  Watch therefore [give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of day [whether near or remote] your Lord is coming.” (Matthew 24:37-42)

“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.  And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart, so the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground–not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air–for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them.  But Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:3-8)

The days of Noah were so wicked that God made a conscious decision to wipe everyone out completely, even down to the bugs!  Angels were making babies with human women, making a race of giants that were wicked and violent.  People were marrying whoever and whatever they wanted, partying like there was no tomorrow.  Violence was everywhere in those days.   It was so bad that God’s very heart was grieved to the point of regret.  Yet Noah found favor and grace in God’s eyes.  Why?  Because Noah loved God and He made every effort to be righteous like God was.  God always pays attention to those who truly love Him and try their best to follow His ways.

It’s a good thing Noah was a good guy because if he was like everyone else on the planet I wouldn’t be writing this and you wouldn’t be reading it!  This planet would have no life on it at all and would probably have been destroyed by now by a meteor or something like that.  All the debris floated around in space.  Asteroids and meteors that have come very close to earth, yet they pass by.  The earth is kept safe by the hand of God.  This planet is full of His children, so He watches over it.

Let’s fast-forward to today.  What is going on today?  The world is very violent.  There are conflicts happening on every continent and in most countries in the world.  Brutal killings of innocent people and children with the world just coldly watching it all take place, unmoved by the plight of others.  The governments are run by evil people who have evil agendas, some with aspirations of nuclear war.  The redefinition of marriage at the highest level of government where anybody will be able to marry anybody they choose.  A man could marry his goat or a child.  Redefining marriage is defying what God has ordained.  It is defiance against God’s authority–just as in the days of Noah.  The people shook their fists at His authority and plunged headlong into destruction.

Right now, the earth has the people of God who love Him and are praying for a better world.  Hoping and praying for a brighter future.  These precious ones are what is keeping the world from total darkness.  But one day, when the trumpet sounds and the precious ones are taken out by the power of God, the world WILL be plunged into total spiritual darkness.  The question is: where are you going to be when this day comes?  Are you ready now?  Jesus said “Watch therefore [give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of day [whether near or remote] your Lord is coming.”

Blessings everyone…
