“The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright, and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45)
“But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.” (Luke 8:15)
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]? I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:9-10)
“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10)
“A new heart will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
Everything in our world starts in the heart. What is in our hearts will eventually become known to the world. It comes out in our words and in our decisions–our behavior. Your first clue is the expression that most resides on their face. Have you ever met someone whose smile is infectious? You just knew they were sweet and kind just by the expression on their face. On the other hand, have you ever met someone whose expression said “stay away from me”? Their expression told you they were angry and to be left alone.
We can’t hide what is really in our hearts forever. Anger, bitterness, rage and hatred can’t stay hidden forever. It comes out in our decisions, words and our expression and body language. These attitudes and emotions are the result of inner hurts and wounds that are not healed. It is important to get these negative emotions out quickly so they don’t fester into something evil.
The good news is that the Lord wants to help those with these negatives in their hearts! He can pull it all out and create in you a clean heart and a renewed spirit! Doctors can do wonders these days with surgeries and drug therapies, but only God can fix a broken and twisted heart–our spirit man.
People try counseling and psychologists to fix issues of the spirit and it just doesn’t work. They can listen while you talk it through and give you drugs to calm you down, but they can’t HEAL you. Only God can fix a broken heart.
Beloved, call on the Lord today to fix your broken heart. He will gladly do it because He loves you so much!
Blessings everyone…
