Show Me Your Glory

“Now, therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly] and that I may find favor in Your sight.  And Lord, do consider this nation as Your people.  And the Lord said My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:13-14)

“And the Lord said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have asked, for you have found favor, loving-kindness, and mercy in My sight and I know you personally by name.  And Moses said I beseech You, show me Your glory. (Exodus 33:17-18)

“And God said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim My name, THE LORD, before you; for I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy and loving-kindness on whom I will show mercy and loving-kindness.  But, He said, You can not see My face, for no man can see Me and live.  And the Lord said Behold, there is a place beside Me, and you shall stand upon the rock.  And while My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.  Then I will take away My hand and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.” (Exodus 33:19-23)

I don’t think there was another man who had such a close relationship with God than Moses.  And what a bold man he was!  He wasn’t afraid to intercede with God for anything.  The incredible encounters He had with the Creator of the universe his entire adult life are astounding.  If you follow Moses life and really think about what he did and accomplished it is amazing!

They had regular conversations as you can see in these scriptures.  Moses was the only man allowed that close to Him without dying.  I can’t imagine the sights that Moses and the Israelites saw over the forty odd years they traveled with God.  He literally made Himself visible day and night to them.  He supernaturally gave them water out of rocks, and fed them heavenly bread and even sent them Quail birds to eat when they wanted meat.

But Moses pressed God more and wanted to see His face, to see His glory.  God said no to seeing His face, but just seeing what he saw would last me a lifetime of joy!  God let him see His back.  The scripture says that the glory of God was all over Moses when he came down from that encounter.  The people were afraid of him.  His face shown with the glory.

Today, Jesus has made a way through His Blood and the work of the Cross to give us the ability to enter into as intimate relationship with the Creator as we can stand.  No limits.  The veil was rent.  There is no more separation.  The good news of the Gospel is we can seek the face of God and know that He is listening and wants to help us.

One day we will all see His face and we will know Him as we are known by Him.  What an exciting day that will be!  The Bible says the glory and the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.  People all over the world are crying out for God–the real God.  The God of power, not the watered down gospel of the Apostate church.  They have a form of godliness, but they deny the power of the Holy One.  People want reality.

In your life, you can at any moment begin to seek God out the way Moses did.  And you can have as intimate a relationship as you can stand.  Seeking the intimate relationship is in reality hiding in the Secret Place of the Most High where His protect and His provision and all the other things Jesus paid for on the Cross are found.  Seek Him today–His hand is extended to YOU for salvation today!

Meet Jesus Here…

Blessings everyone…
