“Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; wail, you ministers of the altar; come, lie all night in sackcloth, you ministers of God, for the cereal or meal offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.
Sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land in the house of the Lord, your God, and cry to the Lord in penitent pleadings. Alas for the day! For the day of the judgment of the Lord is at hand, and as a destructive tempest from the Almighty it will come.
Is not the food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the house of our God? The seed (grain) rots and shrivels under the clods, the garners are desolate and empty, the barns are in ruins because the grain has failed. How the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed and huddle together because they have no pasture; even the flocks of sheep suffer punishment.
O Lord, to You will I cry, for the fire has devoured the pastures and folds of the plain and the wilderness, and flame has burned all the trees of the field. Even the wild beasts of the field pant and cry to You for the water brooks are dried up and fire has consumed the pastures and folds of the wilderness and the plain.” (Joel 1:13-20)
The events that are unfolding before our eyes are leading up to some really hard times for people, not only in America but all over the world. I was really hoping the Lord would give me something upbeat, warm and fuzzy to post today, but that isn’t the case. It’s His blog and what He wants said is what will be said come what may.
This is a call from the Lord to His people. Those who love Him. Those who know Him but more importantly–those who are known BY HIM. It is time for the Bride, the Over-comers, the remnant of Bible believing Christians to PRAY!
In your churches, call all night prayer meetings, in your homes gather together to pray for God’s grace and protection and provisions for you and your families. Pray for your lost and backslidden loves ones and friends. Pray for the peace of God to come into your lives. Peace is leaving the earth rapidly and the only ones who will have peace will be US. And people will be looking for peace. We need to be ready to help them meet the Peacemaker: Jesus Christ.
Call a fast in your churches, band together in unity as you never have before. There is power in unity, there is power in our prayers and there is power in the Name of Jesus. It is time for the true Church of the Living God to step up in this season and get serious about the things of God. Get serious about your relationship with Him. Get serious about your calling from Him. Get serious about your walk with Him.
To those who call Christianity your religion. Ask yourself this: Is He your number one priority? Are you serving Him with all your might? Are you passionately in love with Jesus? Or do you just go to church on big holidays like Christmas or Easter? Stepping into a church building does not mean you are in the Kingdom of God. What is your everyday life like? Do you read your Bible? Do you talk to Him during the day? Does your life and words reflect Him or the world? If someone found out you are a Christian would they look surprised or would they say “I knew there was something about you.”? Can you give your testimony of when Jesus saved you? If you can’t answer it, then today is the day you CAN answer it. You can turn to Him right now, right where you are at. You can have the peace found only in Him. You can come into the Kingdom of God right now and KNOW that you know Him and more importantly–He knows YOU. Go to this link to meet Jesus now:

Father, I pray for the Body of Christ right now, I lift up every believer in America and all over the world who call You Lord and who You know. I pray that we would all come together in unity as never before. I pray O God that every remnant church in this nation would get serious about You. That we would prepare ourselves for the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will usher in the last great harvest of souls.
But O Lord this harvest won’t come until the people of God get serious and we know that nothing drives people to their knees in prayer like really hard times. Help us all to do our part to prepare ourselves in every area of our lives. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen and Amen.
