“But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is no one who calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You; for You have hidden Your face from us, and have consumed us because of our iniquities. “Will You restrain Yourself because of these things, O LORD? Will You hold Your peace and afflict us very severely?” (Isaiah 64:6-8)
“Behold the days are coming, says the LORD GOD, that I will send a famine on the land. Not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.” (Amos 8:11)
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
So far thirty police officers have been killed across the nation in 2015. Four in the last nine days alone. The exposure of the horrors of Planned Parenthood have left lawmakers unmoved to stop it, rather they are defending them. Terrorists have brazenly killed soldiers on their own base and it was barely acknowledged by our government and certainly not termed a terrorist act. Violence has filled the land. Black people killing white people and white people killing black people. Gangs of youth assaulting the elderly on the streets in broad daylight. Child sex slavery a common occurrence in this country without a thought of the injustice of it. Violence and hate are everywhere we look. Complete idiocy coming from our leaders. Complete betrayal of our nation by our own president. Selling us out to those who hate us–and nobody bats an eyelash.
The people of God–the true people of God. Those who are sold out to Him, are looking around in horror at it all. Crying out to God “what is going on LORD?” My sister and I were talking about it the other night. She asked the LORD that very thing. His answer to her was “you are seeing a nation without Me.” A nation without God is what we now have in America. As a nation, He has departed. He comes now only to those who cry out to Him. The light that He has poured into this nation, has dimmed.
Truly, there is a famine in our land of His words. He can be found only in the lives and hearts of His remnant people. He has departed from apostate churches. They are now without a candlestick and have no power to help anyone. He has departed from our government at every level. No longer is the wisdom of God seen in our leaders. They have declared themselves wise, but they are in reality fools.
However, like the land of Egypt, under judgment, the people of God were in the land of Goshen, where they were protected from the plagues the ungodly ones suffered. As time marches on, we will continue to see the decline of a once-great nation that, like Rome, is imploding from within. A nation without God is at the mercy of Satan, who has no concept of mercy. Yet, even in this, there is offered a lifeline. Jesus Christ still holds out the offer of salvation to anyone to calls upon His name. His love is still there for you. His plans for you are still waiting for you to fulfill. The darkness does not have to consume you…run to the light of Jesus Christ today and find yourself in the land of Goshen–where blessings are found.
