The Kingdom of God is like…

godiswatching

“Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like?  And to what shall I compare it?  It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree and the birds of the air nest in its branches.” (Luke 13:18-19)

“And again He said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?  It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.” (Luke 13:20)

When we are born-again through the Blood of Jesus Christ, the kingdom of God is planted in our hearts.  Our lives are our gardens.  We must tend to our gardens and cultivate the kingdom seed planted in us at the time of our salvation.  We must not neglect it.  If we neglect it, the enemy will come and steal it away so we will be ineffective against him.  When we cultivate the kingdom in our hearts, we can impact the world around us in amazing ways!

Have you ever made bread and forgot to put the yeast in?  I have and it is completely worthless.  Just a lump of hard flour and water.  Delicious bread can only be made when leaven is mixed in it.  The kingdom of God–our intimate relationship with Him is the leaven our lives must have to make a difference in the world around us.  Nobody has any interest in eating a lump of flour and water.  Our lives are the bread.  Without the kingdom of God alive in us, we are just another religion.  Cold and lifeless.

Are you born-again yet you feel distant from Him?  It doesn’t have to be that way.  Ask Him to restore you to fellowship and refresh your spirit anew with His blood.  Then begin to cultivate the kingdom of God in your life!  He is right there waiting for you to call upon Him.

Blessings everyone…
