“For thus has the LORD said to me; Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees. And he saw a chariot with a pair of horsemen, a chariot with a pair of donkeys and a chariot of camels. And he listened earnestly with great care. Then he cried, “A lion, my Lord! I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime; I have sat at my post every night. And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen!” Then he answer and said, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen!” And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground.” (Isaiah 21:6-9)
“The burden against Dumah, He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire; Return! Come back!” (Isaiah 21:11-12)
God has placed within the Body of Christ, watchmen to proclaim the prophecies, dreams and visions that He gives them. Within these prophecies, dreams and visions are instructions for His people to help them walk through perilous times. These words proclaim warnings to everyone to return to Him. Warnings of trouble coming. These words also give hope and comfort to the people of God. Hope of victory when it is all said and done.
Watchmen are critical positions in times of war in a natural army. They alert when attacks come from the enemy. They are critical in communicating danger to the leaders of the army. God’s watchmen are equally critical in these perilous times. The message of the watchmen is not warm and fuzzy and it isn’t supposed to be. There are times when we must be alert and listening intently to God’s instructions. These are just such days.
Today, the watchmen are proclaiming RETURN TO THE LORD! Now is not the time to go off to play in the world, enjoying the pleasures of sin. Sin is fun for a season, but this is not the season to make that choice. The lines are being drawn in the sand. Like Elijah asked the children of Israel, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” (I Kings 18:21) It is time for everyone who calls Jesus Christ, LORD to choose Him wholeheartedly and leave the world behind. It is a call to holiness for the people of God. The Bride is even now preparing herself to meet Him at the trumpet’s call. This call is coming very soon.
Examine your hearts and ask yourself if you are all in for Jesus or still want the worldly pleasures. The fence is gone. Make the choice whom you will serve. It has come to that. If you really love Him, you’ll obey Him. If not, then go on into the world system and the destruction that is the end of it. God has given mankind this choice in Deuteronomy 30:19:
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give them.”
The choice is ours. Life or death. Blessings or cursings. He wants to bless us. He wants our love and obedience but He will not force us. It is solely our choice. So choose life and get in your position in this day and this hour. You are needed in the army of God!
Stay strong believers…
