“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep (in death), but we shall all be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory, O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:50-58)
Everything about God is spirit to Spirit. He must be worshipped in spirit and in truth. He cannot be approached when we are full of ourselves or our “flesh.” The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. You can’t see it except with spiritual eyes and spiritual eyes cannot be opened until the flesh is put down through repentance for sin and through the Blood of Jesus Christ. This is the beginning of kingdom citizenship.
In almost every nation, except America, there are legal requirements to becoming a citizen. Each person must make a conscious commitment to be loyal to the nation and commit to protect it and follow its laws. Illegal immigration has no such commitments as we are seeing right here in America. People who hate the nation but want all the benefits–and are given those benefits. In God’s kingdom, there is NO illegal immigration. You enter God’s way or you don’t enter. Period.
Right now, if you are born-again through Jesus Christ redemptive work of the Cross, you are in the kingdom; however, a day is coming when the last trumpet will be blown and we all will be changed from our mortal bodies to the same body that Jesus Christ has. He is the firstborn of the dead. He is the first to be resurrected from the dead and put on this immortal body–the same body will receive on that day.
The most critical issue for us right now is how much of our lives are spent in the Spirit and how much is spent in the “flesh.” If your relationship with Jesus is lukewarm and haphazard, uncommitted and spiritually lazy, you won’t hear that trumpet sound. You’ll miss it. I’m sorry to be so blunt, but the time has come for everyone to make the hard decision to get hot or grow colder. We are living in the last of the last days before that trumpet sounds. It’s not about pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib or no-trib rapture of the Church. All that matters that you are ready WHENEVER that trumpet sounds. Are you sold out? If you aren’t, then get serious about God and sell out.
If you don’t know Jesus, you can meet Him today, even at this very moment as your read this post. It is critical that decisions for Jesus be made as soon as possible. Time is running out swiftly like sands through an hourglass. Go to this link to meet Jesus now, if you feel the pull of the Holy Spirit:
If you are in the kingdom and you are sold out; watching and listening for that last trumpet, be like Paul said: “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” Keep plugging away in your sphere of influence for Jesus. You never know how your life is impacting the people around you!
Stay strong believers…
