Jesus Christ: the Living Word of God, the Son, the Messiah, the Light of the world, the King of King, the Lord of Lords, the Sole Expression of God’s love, the Anointed One, the Firstborn of the elect–is the Most Precious One. In every age from time through eternity, in the farthest reaches of the universe to the door of your heart, there is no one more precious than He. No job, no relationship, no amount of riches and status, ideology or theology, no substance or worldly pleasure can compare even remotely to a personal relationship with Him.
He is worth everything. He is the Pearl of great price. If I had to choose between my life and Him, I would choose Him because without Him I have no life. It is empty without His presence. The very idea of not having Jesus in my heart makes me cry. He is not dead and buried. He is alive and He is very involved in my life because I have invited Him to be. The intimate, personal relationship is the most precious thing I have. I have been in the deep and dark pit without Him and I would never, by His grace, go back to my old life.
He can give YOU a new life too! If you are in the deep and dark pit, He can and will deliver you out of it if you ask Him.
