Jewels of Faith

“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another; and the LORD listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name.  “They shall be Mine, says the LORD of hosts, on the day that I make them My jewels.  And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” (Malachi 3:16-17)

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses; let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

This past week at church, the Lord gave my sister a word that said she was a precious jewel that He has surrounded by a case that no attack of the enemy would prosper.  I began to ponder on this.  I thought about how much He values faith.  It is a thrill for Him to see pure, immovable faith in one of His children.  My sister is immovable in her faith.  She believes regardless of what it looks like.

The Bible says that all the saints that have gone before us into the presence of the LORD are the great cloud of witnesses.  They are watching our exploits of faith here on earth.  Why is this so exciting to heaven?  Because on earth there is so much resistance to faith.  Fear permeates everything down here.  We have to fight our flesh, the devil and other people to gain any ground in the spirit with God.  Satan fights faith tooth and nail because he doesn’t want God to be blessed for one second and he wants to destroy our faith in God so he can drag us to Hell with him.  But God has given us a measure of faith with which to build upon.  Yes, it is up to US to build on that faith.  Like Jesus said in the parable of the talents.  Don’t hide it and do nothing with it..make it grow!

Faith looks at the impossibilities and knows that God can make it possible!  Faith has tunnel vision–it looks straight ahead at the end result and refuses to be turned away from it.  Immovable faith is the solid foundation of all spiritual warfare.  Without it, you can be moved off your position by the enemy.  Faith PLEASES God!

When people share with each other their faith trials and victories, the LORD listens.  He loves to hear our testimonies!  He writes it all down in a book of remembrance.  This book will be opened on that day when we receive our rewards.  I personally believe that people who build their faith to the immovable position become a precious jewel to God.  A jewel of faith that He has displayed in heaven for all the saints and angels to admire.  Like a hard-won trophy.  God appreciates the struggles we go through in faith, so when we reach that immovable position of faith, He wants to display it to all His kingdom!

You CAN build your faith today, no matter how little faith you think you have.  You have more than you realize.  Faith the size of a mustard seed can actually move a mountain, the Lord says.  If you’ve buried your faith by giving up, go dig it up and start building on it.  Don’t give up the fight.  Run your race faithfully.  Ask God to give you divine “tunnel-vision” to victoriously finish your race.  As you build your faith, and obtain that immovable position, then you will become a precious jewel of faith that God will lovingly display to all His kingdom.
