“Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. (Isaiah 30:18)
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. You will also defile the covering of your images of silver, and the ornament of your molded images of gold. You will throw them away as an unclean thing; you will say to the, “Get away!” (Isaiah 30:22)
“Then He will give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground, and the bread of the increase of the earth; it will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures. (Isaiah 30:23)
“Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days. In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound.” (Isaiah 30:26)
It gives God great pleasure to be gracious and merciful to us. In a society that is instant, it is very difficult to wait on the LORD. We wonder why our circumstances seem to go on and on without any change after we have prayed. Guess what? The LORD is waiting too. He’s waiting on us to get rid of the sinful things in our lives. Things that we put before Him. He is waiting for our hearts to turn one hundred percent to Him. He is waiting for us to “sell out” completely to Him.
What happens then? “THEN He will give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground, and the bread of the increase of the earth; it will be fat and plentiful.” Then the breakthrough will come. The breakthrough in our family heartaches, the breakthrough in our financial struggles, and the breakthrough in our struggle for health. Everyone has a struggle of one kind or another and God WANTS to bring victory in every one of them. He really does. Every struggle has within it the opportunity to grow stronger in the LORD. Sometimes we have to wait because in the waiting, we grow stronger if we faint not.
One day the breakthrough will come forth. One day the light of the LORD will burst forth and your enemies will scatter to the four corners of the earth. The greatest spiritual growth comes in the struggle for victory. Remember: God is a Spirit and His primary focus is on your spiritual health. Everything else will come when you win the spiritual battle.
If you are in a struggle today, make a decision to stand WITH God, because believe it or not He is WITH you. Then begin to thank Him for all the blessings that are coming out of the struggle, for your benefit. Even if it looks completely opposite, thank Him anyway. That is FAITH in action. Begin to spend time with Him regularly to discuss the situation. As you spend this time with Him, you will begin to establish an intimate relationship with Him and before you know it, your faith in Him will begin to grow stronger and stronger.
THEN you will begin to let Him deal with the areas of your life that are weak. THEN suddenly the breakthrough will come. The journey of the struggle has healing power in it. Let Him bring healing from the inside out in your struggle.
Don’t know Him? You can today!
