Beacons of Light

“Praise the Lord!  Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments.  His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.  Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.  Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness.  A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.  Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.  His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.  He has disperse abroad, He has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor.

The wicked will see it and be grieved; he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.” (Psalm 112)

Who is righteous?  The righteous are the ones who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ and no other.  The blessings of the LORD follow them and overtake them throughout their lives and even beyond into subsequent generations!

God’s blessings are multi-generational.  He blesses the righteous to a thousand generations.  He so appreciates the ones who love Him and His ways and diligently follow Him.  We are precious to Him.  He looks at each one of us tenderly and with so much love.  The closer we walk with Him, the more light will shine in us, around us and through us.  Our lives become beacons of light to the darkness around us.

The wicked though will be envious of the blessings we receive.  They won’t understand it and all they know is they don’t like it.  They will threaten, but their desire to destroy you will melt away.  IF you stand fast and trust in the LORD.  He is your defender.  All you have to do is stand next to Him.

Blessings everyone…
