Love. Love is a precious commodity because it is so hard to find. Like a beautiful diamond in a sea of glass. It’s true worth cannot be measured in dollars. There are three kinds of love that people can experience in life. The most basic is physical love. Expressing love of your spouse in making love. Sex is not love. Sex is the expression of what is in the heart. Then there is brotherly love. Love towards your fellow-man. It is looking out for another person’s well-being. It is being a good Samaritan to others. It is loving your brothers and sisters in Christ. Finally, there is Agape Love, which is the love that God has at His very heart. This love transcends all other forms of love. Agape love is the most powerful force in the universe because it is the very foundation of the Kingdom of God.
The love of God is a force that no weapon can withstand. When a child of God can operate fully in God’s love, he or she is unstoppable to Satan. Perfect love–God’s love casts out fear. It overrides it. It shuts it down completely.
When we read the news headlines and see what is happening all over the world, we wonder what the heck is going on! It’s a world full of fear, hate and violence. What we have to remember is that God’s love flowing through His people can turn that tide. Beloved, I encourage you to ask God to let HIS love–the highest love–begin to flow through you today. It is the most precious commodity in the world..
