True Freedom

Whom-The-Son-Sets-Free-960x350

“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

Freedom is a word saturated in blood.  It is a very bloody word.  Why?  Because to gain freedom is a bloody fight and to lose freedom is a bloody fight.  Freedom has been at the core of most of the wars in the history of mankind.  There is always someone in power in the earth who wants to take freedom away from regular people.  It’s like misery loves company.

America fought a bloody war to gain freedom from a tyrannical government.  Then the civil war resulted in the freedom of the slaves.  The Civil rights war resulted in equal rights for African-Americans.  Women fought and died for the right to vote.  Over fifty million people died in Russia when they lost their freedom to Communism.  The list goes on and on of the fight for freedom.

However, true freedom is in the heart.  When the Son–Jesus Christ, comes into your heart, you are free indeed.  Even if you are in a prison in Iran or North Korea suffering for your faith, you are free in your heart.  Like the Apostle Paul and Silas in the inner prison.  They were in the vilest place with horrible smells, sounds and sights all around them.  Yet the freedom in their hearts caused them to sing praises to God Most High.  As a result, God supernaturally set them free from that prison.

A heart without Jesus is not truly free, even if you have a million dollars in the bank and all the power to run a country at your fingertips.  You are not really free.  Jesus can fill a heart to overflowing with the most precious things in life: love, peace, joy and FREEDOM.  Freedom in your heart is the most powerful place a person can be because NOBODY can take it away from you.

Beloved, no matter how limited your natural freedom is–true freedom in your heart is found through Jesus Christ.  If you are drawn to Him, go to this link and meet Him today.  When the Son sets you free, you are free indeed…
