Living in the Supernatural

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ ” (John 14:6)

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-6)

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

These scriptures are all very comforting to believers in Jesus Christ.  They assure us that we are in the palm of the Father’s hand and nothing can take us out of His love.  When we share our faith with those who don’t know Jesus, we will even quote these scriptures and they may or may not make an impact with the person we are talking to.

In today’s world, the Bible is not considered relevant by the world at large and even in some “Christian” circles.  I was even told once that the Bible was not a relevant argument.  And he went to Bible college!  I was shocked to say the least.  But it caused me to stop and think.  People today could care less what the Bible says.  So how do believers living in these days where God is not “cool”–how can we reach them?

We reach them by the power of God.  Nobody can deny the power of God.  Nobody can ignore His presence and His touch.  Nobody can remain the same after they experience a miracle.  The power of God doesn’t just “happen.”  It is a carefully cultivated thing in the life of a believer.  It is achieved through the intimate relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ.  This intimate relationship builds “immovable” faith in the God of miracles and power.  This intimate relationship places a believer in a position to execute God’s power to a lost and dying world.

What does the power of God look like?

A Healed Alcoholic – physically dying from alcohol poisoning.  Facing an eternity in the lake of fire until the power of God challenged her to grab His hand.  She grabbed on to Him and repented for her sins.  He came and miraculously healed her liver and today she is consumed by love for Him.  How do I know this?  Because it was me that He saved from death.

A Demon Cast Out – a young woman came to us asking for help with anger.  As we started to minister to her, a devil rose up and she fell back on the floor writhing.  We told that devil to leave and it left her with a scream and she has been set free to love God ever since.

The Hem of His Garment – during our prayer meeting, the power and presence of Jesus literally came into the room and one of the women saw the hem of Jesus’ garment and His feet standing in front of her.

A Woman Healed of Cancer by Proxy – a woman came up to stand in for a woman dying of cancer.  The people of God prayed in faith believing she would be healed.  Some time later she was up and out of the hospital and to this day, a year later is doing fine.  The prayer of faith healed the sick!

The Mixer – a woman in our church decided to ask and believe God for a red professional stand mixer for her kitchen.  She asked Him for it, she spoke it out every day in thanksgiving to Him.  Eight months later there was a professional red stand mixer sitting on her kitchen counter, right where she spoke over it.  The power of God works.

Jesus Walking Among His People – One Sunday morning, the power of God was like a thick cloud in the church.  Everyone present was completely lost in His presence.  One of the women opened her eyes and saw Jesus walking in and out of the chairs smiling as He watch His people worshiping Him.

Man Healed of Pneumonia by Proxy – Just a week ago, a woman stood in for her brother who had a raging fever going on two weeks.  He had pneumonia and was getting weaker.  We prayed  and anointed her with oil.  We claimed him for salvation in the kingdom of God.  The next day, the fever was broken and in a couple of days he was back at work.

A Big Raise – a woman got an unexpected 7.5% raise from her company after she gave extra offerings and tithes for several months.  You can’t out-give God!

The Porches, the Washroom and the Building – a woman began asking and thanking God for building her homestead in 2011.  Since that time, God has supernaturally given her a front and back porch, an outside washroom and a beautiful utility building.  The dollar amount of all these this is worth thousands of dollars.  She paid a total of $1000 for all these things.  Isn’t God good?

Supernatural Deliverance and Provision for Elderly Woman – a woman in our church was facing eviction from a house she bought and she had nowhere to go and her income is less that $1000 a month.  God supernaturally provided a place to live well within her means.  A clean place, in a good neighborhood.  The injustice she was suffering financially was completely turned around in her favor.  God took care of His girl!

The Furnished Apartment – another woman in our church got a new job at an apartment complex, complete with a newly renovated and beautiful apartment!  It was empty.  She had no money and she had no furniture except a bed and dresser and a few little pieces from her room at her mother’s house.  She asked the Lord to furnish  her apartment and began to thank Him every day for her couch and recliner, her end tables, and all the other things in her heart she wanted.   One by one they began to come into her life.  People were giving her things over and over again.  Today her apartment has been completely furnished by the Lord.  Isn’t God good?  Nothing is too trivial for Him to be concerned about!

A New Esophagus by Proxy – a man was fighting cancer of the esophagus.  He couldn’t swallow, he couldn’t talk.  He was bone thin and getting weaker by the day.  A friend who comes to our church stood in proxy for him.  We prayed the prayer of faith and anointed her with oil in the Name of Jesus.  He is completely healed by the power of God through the prayer of faith.   He is now back at work!  Isn’t God good?

Healed of Inner Scars of Rape – a couple of women have come to us and received complete inner healing of the scars of rape as young girls.  Jesus came and healed every wound and made the memories no longer painful.  Isn’t God good?

This list could go on because it is a continual part of our lives.  Living in the Kingdom of God is to live in the supernatural.  Daring to believe that Jesus is who He says He is and that the Father actually WANTS to heal, deliver, set free and bless is the way we live.  Because of all His wonderful blessings and miracles that He does day in and day out, nobody can ever convince us that Jesus Christ isn’t real and alive today.  We’ve seen Him, we have felt His love over us, and we have experienced His power in our daily lives.  It’s a PERSONAL relationship that overshadows all others.

That same power is available to anyone who chooses to follow Jesus Christ.  Healing, deliverance, provisions and that wonderful peace that only He has.  Can you call on your god to help you in a real and tangible way?  Can you sit in his presence and know he is listening to you?  Think about it…if the answer is no, Jesus is a prayer away–and He WILL answer you…

Blessings everyone…
