“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.” (Psalm 139:13-18)
Before our conception in our mother’s womb, God has already written the plans for our days in His book. While we were just a fertilized egg, the page of our lives was in place. He watches us from conception to the grave. He loves us from conception to the grave. This great love never wavers throughout our entire lives–it never wavers.
“How precious are Your thoughts to me.” Every life is first conceived in the heart of God. Every life has a unique purpose–like a fingerprint. No one else has the same purpose. We are all unique and one of a kind. Yet for all His great love for us, for all the wonderful plans He has written in His book for us to fulfill; He has to depend on one thing: our free will love in return. Yes, He has chosen to love us in the face of our hatred and indifference, if we so choose.
Throughout the course of our lives, He works tirelessly to bring us to a point of decision: to accept His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ or go our own way, or serve another god. That is the risk. He refuses to force us to accept Him. It MUST be the free will offerings of our heart. He won’t settle for anything less.
We’ve all seen those movies where the rich man or woman pretends to be poor to find true love. They want someone who will love them for themselves. Well, God wants that too! He wants each person to freely love Him. When He finds a person who falls in love with Him, He will pour out His blessings and love on that person, that they cannot contain.
When we enter into the intimate relationship with God the Father, through Jesus Christ, we are seated in heavenly places. This means that our contentment and happiness in life is not centered on earthly things, but rather in heavenly things. If you have never experienced a real, intimate encounter with the Lord, you can…right now if you want to.
It starts with a prayer…
