In The Balance of Eternity

“But you, my dear friends, must use your most holy faith as your foundation and build on that, praying in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you eternal life.

When there are some who have doubts, reassure them; when there are some to be saved from the fire, pull them out; but there are others to whom you must be kind and with great caution, keeping our distance even from the outside clothing which is contaminated by vice.” (Jude 20-23)

Every moment of every day, unbeknownst to us, the eternal destinations of many of the people around us are hanging in the balance.  They don’t even realize the utter peril they are in.  The spirit realm is unseen by us but nonetheless real.  However unaware we may be about the eternity of those around us, God is VERY, VERY aware.  He looks into the hearts of people all the time.  He alone can see the hearts that are silently crying and looking for Him.  He wants to love them.  He needs love with skin on–His people–to reach out to these lost ones.

How do we know who God wants to help?  We know through our time spent with Him in the intimate relationship.  It is in our secret place where He tells us to call this one, or go by and see that one.  It is there that we can hear His voice clearly enough to know to go up to a person we don’t know and tell them about Jesus and His great love for them.  He knows their heart.  He can see what we can’t.

Now more than ever before, when the days we are living in are as perilous as the days of Noah, God is calling His people to tell anyone and everyone they can about God’s great love through Jesus Christ.  Souls are in the balance of eternity.  This is an appeal to the Believers, the Christians, the people of God, the Bride–you know who you are, and He knows who you are.  Ask Him every morning before you leave the house to use you to win the lost today.  Make yourself available every moment for His to use to love the unloveable.

The homeless man under the bridge who hasn’t had a bath in over a month, or a decent meal in the same amount of time, is important to God.  The young mother with three young children and no husband is important to God.  The elderly man and woman with dementia are important to God.  The rock star, the President of a nation,  the ISIS terrorist, are all important to God.  Nobody can fathom the depth of His great love for human beings–all human beings.  Because He loves everyone, we, as His people, must also love the good, the bad, and the ugly.

But we must be careful also to not let the sin and vice of those we are trying to win, bring us down into it with them!  That is what Jude is warning about in verse 23.  This is why our secret place is so important!  Let the Holy Spirit guide you to the ones who God has selected for you to help.

Why am I posting this?  I sense the urgency of the Lord for souls in this hour.  Time is swiftly running out.  The age of grace is almost over and then it gets really serious.  It is a call to all the Bride to not only prepare herself but to bring many others into the Kingdom of God before we go to meet our Bridegroom!  He wants the wedding hall filled to the brim with His beloved…

Blessings everyone…
