Close Encounters

“O LORD, the God of my salvation.  I have cried to You for help by day; at night I am in Your presence.” (Psalm 88:1)

There is nothing like being in the presence of God.  Nothing can compare to Him.  There is no pleasure the world can offer that is sweeter or more profound than sitting before God with Him washing over you completely.  An experience like this is never forgotten and is stronger than any drug.  You are completely hooked after just one second in His presence.  I’m not talking about just saying a prayer and then going on with your life.  I’m talking about a serious seeking of His presence.  He’ll come to you when you seek Him in the secret place of deep worship.

The most wonderful thing that Jesus did on the Cross was open the gate for each person to seeking the Father and experience life in His presence!  A life lived in His presence is where we are truly seated with Christ in heavenly places.  Our mindset is set on things above and the earthly things fade in comparison to His matchless wonderful presence.  One of my favorite songs is “Lord, You Are More Precious Than Silver.”  It says

“Lord You are more precious than silver, Lord You are more costly than gold, Lord You are more beautiful than diamonds, and nothing I desire compares with You.”

This is so true!  A close encounter with the God of the universe is completely life-altering.  The path you were on is forgotten because His presence draws you ever deeper.  Don’t be afraid to seek Him in the secret place of deep worship.  This is the place where Jesus actually comes to know YOU.  It is the intimate place of worship that brings you further into the very heart of God.

You can change your whole life today, even at this moment.  Make the choice to begin to seek Him out.  It is just a simple matter of speaking that first syllable out…Jesus.  That one word spoken from a sincere heart brings Him instantly to you.  Even just a whisper.  And when you do, you will have a close encounter that will forever change you from the inside out…

Blessings everyone…
