“Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in holiness and to the sanctuary and bless the Lord! The Lord bless you out of Zion, even He Who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 134)
What does it mean to bless? The Amplified Bible says it means to “affectionately and gratefully praise.” That is how we bless God. How does He bless us? He blesses us with good things, and He blesses us with His presence in our lives. We get an awesome return on our investment here. We pour our hearts out to Him in worship and praise and He pours out mercy, love, favor and so much more.
What is a servant? Is it someone who cowers before God? Not in the Kingdom of God. Jesus said the greatest in the Kingdom is the servant. A true servant, serves out of the motive of LOVE. That’s what Jesus does. He’s the greatest Servant of all! Moses was called “My servant” by God. A servant is a “right hand man,” a person who is depended upon and of high value.
To serve God and man in the Kingdom of God is the greatest blessing you can do in worship to God. A servant’s heart is of great value and much use to God. Our prayer today is “Lord, here I am, Your servant. Use me today to serve You and love those around me.”
Blessings everyone…
