If you have come to this page in this blog, then you are probably more than a little curious about Jesus Christ. If you have been reading this blog then I’m sure you have read the many reasons to accept Jesus as your Savior. Aside from all the very real and true reasons you need Jesus in your life, the fact is: HE is so completely wonderful! Once you meet Jesus Christ–I mean a real encounter with Him–it is impossible NOT to fall head over heels in love with Him! Truly He is the best Friend you will ever have on earth and beyond time.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus); that whosoever believes on Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
If you have made the decision in your heart to return or come to Him, then pray this prayer out loud and mean it in your heart. You are using your FAITH to reach out to God for help. He WILL answer you; He WILL receive you; He WILL welcome you!
“Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. I confess that I have sinned against You. I ask You to forgive me and cleanse me through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Wash away all my sins. I repent of all my sins and I choose now to turn and follow You Lord Jesus. I ask You Lord Jesus to come into my heart and take the keys of every door in my heart. I cast down every idol sitting on the throne of my heart and I give the throne to You Lord Jesus. Be the Lord of my life now! I ask You to fill me to overflowing with the Holy Spirit that I may live my life in power before You! Thank You for saving me Lord Jesus! Thank You for filling me Holy Spirit! Thank You for giving Jesus in payment for my sins Father!
Now say this: I AM SAVED! I AM FREE! I HAVE PEACE! I HAVE A PURPOSE! I AM LOVED! I AM FORGIVEN! I AM ON MY WAY TO HEAVEN!
Welcome to the Kingdom of God! You are now in the palm of His hand and nothing can take you out of His hand. Nothing and nobody can shake His love for you. He has so much planned for you! You alone can fulfill these plans. So what do I do now? How do I begin this journey?
- Begin to talk to the Father in Jesus’ Name every day. Just talk to Him in a regular conversation. Say something like “Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus…and begin the conversation. Find a special place in your home like a sitting room or porch or even your recliner to spend the personal time with God every day. This is how relationships are built–spending time together. Set a special time to pray. It doesn’t matter when. Morning, noon or evening. All three if you want to! You will find that as you do this, your relationship with Him will become stronger and stronger.

Get a Bible, they are easy to get and cheap to buy. The New King James, The Amplified Bible, the New International Version (NIV)–there are so many versions. Pick one that suits you. Once you get the Bible, begin to read it every day. Pick a time of the day just to read your Bible. Start with a few verses. Go online and find Bible reading plans…just Google it. The important thing is to begin to get the Word of God into your spirit. Read it out loud because faith comes by hearing it spoken out loud. Join a Bible study group or just set a time aside to do Word studies on different topics. The Teaching Series page on this Blog site has a teaching on different ways to study the Bible. Check it out.

Find a church that preaches the true Word of God. It is getting harder to find a church like this, so you need to ask God to guide you to the church He wants to put you in. Many churches today have departed from the fundamental doctrines of the Word of God so you really do need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to find a church. Once you find the church, then get involved and begin to make friends within the church. Volunteer to help in the different ministries. If you like to sing, join the choir or the Praise & Worship Team. If you like to visit people, join the folks who visit the elderly or sick.
-
Very important. Get baptized in water. This tells the world you belong to Jesus Christ. It an important part of your profession of faith. Jesus got baptized as our example…you need to do it too. Talk to the pastor of the church and tell him/her you are a new believer and want to get baptized. They should be able to help you.
-
Last but not least. Begin to share your faith with others. Every day ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the people He wants to reach through YOU. Tell your friends and family. Live your life to glorify Him and people will begin to ask you what is different about you–then tell them! Join the evangelistic team at your church or in your community if you can find one. Or start one yourself! Go online like I’m doing here and share your faith. The ways are endless.
Welcome to the family and kingdom of God! May He richly bless you and keep you strong until that great day when He calls us all home!
Blessings everyone…
